How to Use

Install and Uninstall

Install:

If you want to download SmartRead from network, according to following guidance:
 

1. Choose and Run installation file (for example: c:\download\smartread_setup.exe)
2. Press "next" key, can finish installing . It is very simple.
3. If you want to change installation catalog or start catalog . In installing, you can choose .

Have included the speech voices of simplified Chinese and English. MSI file that Microsoft put out newest install form, must have Windows Installer systems at computer when installing, generally, Windows system has already integrate Windows Installer. But if you double click MSI file the mistake appears when the installing , prove that Installer has already been damaged , you must go to the following websites to download corresponding file , finish the system installation of Windows Installer.

Windows 98,Me:
instmsia.exe  [1.62M]  Windows Installer 2.0

Windows NT 4.0 , 2000:
instmsiw.exe  [1.73M]   Windows Installer 2.0

Windows NT 4.0 , 2000,XP,2003的用户：
windowsInstaller-KB893803-x86.exe [2.53M]   Windows Installer 3.1

Uninstall:

Uninstall the SmartRead, according to the following guidance:

1. Enter "control panel", choose to "add/delete program";
2. Choose "SmartRead" one, click "add / delete";
3. Press "next" key all the way, finish uninstall.

System Required

OS：

operating system supported has：

• Windows XP speciality edition and family expenses edition; Any language edition.
• Windows.NET server edition; Any language edition.
• Microsoft Windows 2000 professional work stations or servers; Any language edition.
• Microsoft Windows Millennium edition.
• Microsoft Windows 98 any edition.
• Microsoft Windows ® NT work station or server 4.0,server bag 6a,English,Japanese,or simplified Chinese edition.
• Windows 95 or earlier edition does not support .

Hardware required:：

• One PentiumII 233 MHz processor , and RAM with 32 MB.

SmartRead SelfCheck

SelfCheck function check whether the computer hardware software meets the need to read text, at present can check the following several kinds software and hardware information in SmartRead:

1.CPU information: Generally , need speed at 233MB above , speed of computer  lower than 233MB may run too probably certainly, but will have phenomenon of stopping etc..
2.Memory information: Generally speaking,need 32MB memory, but depends on operating system that you use. The size of memory recommended is 32MB.
3.Operating system information: Only your OS is higher than Windows 95 .
4.IE information: The request for IE must be higher than 5.0.
5.Comctl32.dll information: Require must higher than 5.80.
6.RichEdit information: demand higher than 5.30.
